“Something is shifting” is a collaborative work by Linn Schröder and Anne Schönharting. In the worlds of magical realism, plants, animals, trees, and people, as well as the wind and the earth, are interconnected. The starting point of this work is the search for connection and the conscious exploration of altered perception. Emerging from experiences that shift familiar boundaries, it is an attempt to return to a form of childlike wonder and a way of seeing that does not immediately name, interpret, or define. The images were created during recurring stays in the landscape of Mecklenburg and the forests of the Pyrenees, framed by conversations that touched on the personal, and the present. Against the backdrop of a time in which social and political conditions are noticeably changing, seeking out nature is a conscious movement toward a different experience of the „now“. This movement takes place both externally and internally, and finds its projection in the images. Through collaborative work and authorship, perspectives intertwine and expand. Certainties begin to falter.
