Art Book Fair Stuttgart

From 28 – 30.9. the Werkstatthaus in Stuttgart presents the first PAPIERE #1, a trade fair that offers independent publishers a platform. And this in Stuttgart, for the first time!
We are very happy to be part of it. The other participants:

Arles 2023

From July 4-8, 2023, we will be in Arles for the Photobook Fair. At the École nationale supérieure de la photographie at 30 avenue Victor Hugo.

We will also have guests at the booth who will be happy to sign their books:

Ukraine: A year of war

At the occasion of the anniversary of the Russian Invasion of Ukraine, one year ago, Andreas Langen and Hartmann Projects invite you to take a photographic look at this war and its prehistory.
We collected pictures from photographers who have dealt with the conflict intensively and over long periods of time. Andreas Langen (arge lola) will show them as a projection with live commentary and background explanations in our exhibition space. Afterwards there will be the possibility to discuss and reflect on the imressions of the projected pictures.

“Die Hauptstadt” zu Gast im TuD

Exhibition “Die Hauptstadt” Ost-Berlin in den Achtzigern
The exhibition is at the Theater unterm Dach Berlin until 23 Oktober.

The publisher of the book and director Günter Jeschonnek, who lived in Prenzlauer Berg until he was expatriated in December 1987, will present the trilingual and elaborately designed photo-text book in multimedia form as part of the renewed exhibition of Günter Steffen’s photographs and, together with the actress Christine B. Kugler, will read texts by Jewgenij
Samjatin (1884 -1937) from his novel “We”.

Book presentation at the Landesvertretung Baden-Württemberg

On 5 October 2022 at 7 pm, publisher Günter Jeschonnek will present photographs (Günter Steffen) and texts (Yevgeny Zamyatin) from the book “Die Hauptstadt” (The Capital) and, in conversation with the former President of the German Bundestag Wolfgang Thierse, he will go on a time travel to Berlin-Mitte and Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg between 1984 and 1989.
