This book was written without the knowledge or assistance of Werner Mahler in a secret “mission” and was handed over to him and all guests at the birthday party on the evening of 8 March. Surprisingly, it is the first book (apart from smaller booklets from the 70s, 80s) dedicated only to his pictures – it was about time! The oak tree in the pictures, stands at the end of the Mahler’s garden, behind it begins the forest of the Mark Brandenburg. For more than four decades they have been watching the tree grow. For ten years this tree has been Werner Mahler’s visual school – over the seasons, in sun, fog, rain, snow, thunderstorms, day and night … The book is a private print for friends and acquaintances of Werner Mahler and is only available in single copies. Please address your inquiries directly to Hartmann Books or the Ostkreuz Agency.
